Parkside St Peters, Battersea
Thornsett were selected, by the local parish council and the Diocese of Southwark, as the development partner for this project which comprised the construction of a church/community building and 69 apartments. The Diocese were handed back the church/community centre and a number of apartments on completion. The agreement was structured on an open book basis, so the landowner would benefit from overages on sales of both the private and affordable units. Following the change to Permitted Development rights in August 2020, Thornsett secured prior approval for a two-storey extension to create a further 8 new apartments. Planning permission for a further 3 apartments has also been granted, taking the total number of apartments to be delivered by the extension project to 11.
